About

Circa 1974 a passion was born, not only to recreate history, but to also tell the story that accompanies it. Welcome Wyatt, “Bo” Childs, a master and a humble southern gentleman whose mission it is to breathe life into materials and finds of times past. It’s with this vision that Wyatt Childs, Inc has succeeded in providing elements of design that are both timeless and enduring for over 40 years.

What a few of our customers are saying…

“We’ve worked with Wyatt Childs on numerous projects over the years and have been extremely satisfied with every aspect of our dealings not only with Bo himself, but with Childs’ entire staff. Their incredible selection of unique materials and antique wares are only eclipsed by their skill in transforming these materials into works of aesthetic excellence. We couldn’t be more pleased with Wyatt Childs, and hope to continue our relationship well into the future. Plus, they make the best peach ice cream I’ve ever had”  -Jameel Abraham

“Our company and builders have used Bo (Wyatt Childs) for many years for sourcing building materials from all over the world for our clubhouses and homes from Kiawah Island to Doonbeg Ireland, and the Caribbean. We have used Bo to find reclaimed York Stone straight from the streets of England, Wide Oak board flooring from France, and wood timbers from a Pennsylvania barn. Bo has the ability to Custom mill wood mouldings and doors and even build specialized furniture pieces. The quality is always superb and the service is second to none.”  -Bobby Tapp

“We rehabilitated one house in Locust Valley, NY and another in Palm Beach, FL. Bo is a unique find for anybody. He has many gifts. He is artistic, has impeccable taste, and is a delight to work with. Throughout the process we have become friends as well.

He provided us with antique tiles from France, beams from South Carolina and Virginia, antique French oak flooring, and chestnut panelling from Versailles. He truly has endless resources and materials.
In addition, he replicated an English armoire for our kitchen and manufactured fireplace and other wooden items, including some carvings (all hand done), from antique hardwoods. He provided us with outdoor garden ornaments as well, some antique, some made in France, all with old world craftsmanship.

Bo has the ability to walk into any space and know exactly how to make it charming and cozy, yet sophisticated. His farm in Georgia has acres of unique materials and antiques, the sawmill and workshop, and is well worth visiting.
We can’t say enough good things about our friend Bo.”  -Kathryn “Cottie” Maxwell Pournaras

“Bo, wanted to let you know that the beams, columns, purlins you made for us look spectacular installed. The color and distressing are amazing. Everyone who has seen them have been very impressed! Ditto regarding the joints! We are still waiting to see them with finish work on walls done around them. Will send photo when more of the room is finished so you can see in better context. Thanks for the great work!” -Ron Lindsay
